A post about sex
But before we get to the really interesting bit, let's have the news.

supermer and I have found a place to live! It's incredible. I never thought I'd have a place this nice as my first personal home. It's an apartment/townhouse that, as Mer's mom says, "is just like a house." It's huge. We have our own bedrooms and bathrooms, a huge sitting room, a dining room, a great kitchen, and two decks (one accessible from the dining room with a great glass door for storm watching and one accessible from our bedrooms). Mer's cousins, who own the place, have given us a break in the monthly rent and will charge us no deposit fees. Otherwise I'd never to be able to afford a place like this.

I am also incredibly fortunate in my choice of roommate. Mer's family had a lot of furniture in storage that they will let us use in our place. Mer's cute male cousin lives in one of these apartments too.

I am still on the lookout for a car. This need becomes more pressing and more frustrating each day. Dr. Webb and John Rose (for whom I am housesitting and carsitting) return in one week. I can't continue to drive their cars, but I need transportation to get to work. How does one buy a car when one has no cash, no credit, and has been working full time for only one month?

I continue to progress with cooking. Today I made beef stew. It's quite good, if I do say so myself. I got to use some of my cooking sherry. (The recipe called for red wine, but I didn't think I would be able to taste the difference. I already had the cooking sherry.) Tuesday Mer and I will make dinner for a whole party of Meredith women who are coming to visit at the Butterfly Cottage. It looks to be my last hurrah here. I have loved it and will miss it.
