Off for the Weekend
This post is to let everyone know that I will be in Texas this weekend for my best friend's wedding shower.
I will leave you with another amusing anecdote of Holly's house sitting. Roofers are now here working on the roof. They have parked their large truck in the driveway, blocking access to my little guest house. When they are here, I must go through the main house, front door to back door, in order to get to my house. I have been setting the alarm every time I leave the main house. To do so, I must have all the doors shut and arm the system. Then I have 30 seconds to get out the front door and lock it. But now I have to leave the house through the back door. So I shut all doors, armed the system, opened the back door, and set off the alarm. Aparently, I can leave only via the front door when the system is armed. I had to run and turn off the alarm, hoping it hadn't already summoned the police.
One good thing, perhaps. The roofers know the house has an alarm.
